Law Library books that are not on reserve are located on the library's third floor. Our bookshelves are open to current Gould graduate students, and USC faculty and staff. (All undergraduates and non-Gould USC students who need a book may email us the book's information, and we will let you know when you can pick it up.)
If a book is not on the shelf where it should be, Gould graduate law students may request it through our online catalog. (Please note that we are currently updating ADVOCAT with incoming students' accounts. If you are a 1L or incoming G & IP student, we may not have your account info, yet. In that case, just email us to request a book.)
Instructions for Requesting an Item
By requesting a book, you are placing a hold on it. Once the Law Library receives your request, we must retrieve it from the person who has it, or attempt to locate it, if it is missing. This can take up to two weeks. If you need an item sooner than two weeks, please email email@example.com. We will attempt to help, but we are unable to guarantee a book on short notice.
