Website for the International Criminal Court

This is the website for International Criminal Court based in the The Hague, Netherlands.  The 1998 Rome Statute created the Court, the first independent and permanent court with jurisdiction over the most serious crimes of concern to the international community as a whole, such as genocide, crimes against humanity, and aggression. The Rome Statute came into force after ratification by 60 countries. The ICC is not part of the United Nations, but it does work in cooperation with it. The four main organs of the ICC are the presidency, the judicial divisions, the Office of the Prosecutor, and the Registry.  It also has additional semi-autonomous offices for victims' rights and defense counsel. The website's Core ICC Texts page has the text of the Rome Statute, Rules of Procedure and Evidence, Elements of Crimes, and other legal instruments of the Court.

Coalition for the International Criminal Court

The Coalition of the International Criminal Court is the primary provider of online information about the International Criminal Court.
