Finding Federal Regulations

The general provisions of laws enacted by Congress are interpreted and implemented by regulations issued by various agencies. These regulations apply the law to daily situations. Please refer to the Finding Federal Primary Law research guide for more information on locating federal regulations or see the Government Agencies tab for additional resources.

Refer to Regulations.gov for government regulations from nearly 300 U.S. federal agencies. Researchers can search for a proposed rule, a final rule, or a Federal Register notice.
