Anti-Racism Resources

A list of books on various topics including anti-racism, unconscious bias, social equality, and equal justice

Introduction

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”

- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (Letter from a Birmingham Jail, April 16, 1963)

This list is intended to inform on various anti-racism topics, such as unconscious bias, social equality, equality justice, and black female identity. Because many of the books listed have overlapping subjects, we encourage you to explore all topics. Please know that this list represents only a small subset of the books from the Sources Consulted. We hope you find insight about and inspiration for justice in these books.

For books available electronically through a USC subscription, links are provided at the end of the book descriptions. (Note: Your USC NetID will be needed to access the e-versions.)
