ORCID requires each scholar to create their own ORCID account. However, once you've set up your ORCID ID, you may wish to name your assistant as a Trusted Individual so that they can update your account periodically.
Also, be sure to include your ORCID ID in your published books and articles, SSRN submissions, research grant applications, on your faculty profile or personal web page, and even in your email signature.
