Secondary Sources

Secondary sources are useful places to start any legal research.  They allow you to familiarize yourself with the law before researching and reading statutes and judicial opinions.  The secondary sources in this guide are treatises, restatements, practice guides, and law reviews and journals.

Secondary sources are available in print format in libraries and also electronically through various subscription platforms, such as Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, and CEB OnLAW Pro.
