Earlier editions
You may be able to save even more money by using a previous edition of a casebook. Publishers often post the complete table of contents of the newest edition on their website. See this example for a Secured Transactions casebook. (Scroll down to see "Detailed Table of Contents (PDF Download)"). You can download it and compare to your older edition to convert page numbers from the reading assignments in your syllabus. (You could also ask your professor to scan the current table of contents and send it to you.) Be sure to read any new cases that are not in the older edition by using Google Scholar, Lexis or Westlaw.
